LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), conducted the Training on Financial Management and Marketing Strategies for the Rural-based Organizations (RBOs) Batch 1 on March 13-15, 2024 at ATI Balangay Hall.

This is to equip the participants with the knowledge and skills in Financial Management and Marketing Strategies. Specifically, they were expected to discuss topics on financial management especially on simple bookkeeping, and financial statements preparation, and explain modules on basic entrepreneurial farming, negotiation, and cooperativism.

It was participated by 30 individuals from Agusan del Sur, Agusan del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.

Resource persons from DTI were: Ken Fabian, Senior Business Counsellor, who discussed accounting and financial management, entrepreneurship, and marketing; Zara A. Sanchez, Senior Business Counsellor, who explained the concepts of Entrepreneurial Farming Training, Business Model Canvass, Financial Management and Literacy, Marketing and Product Management; and Katherine C. Torralba, Development Management Officer, on the topic of Marketing Management, Entrepreneurial Mindsetting, Inventory Management.

“As a manager in our cooperative, this is very beneficial to us, especially in decision-making. Thank you very much to ATI through PAFES. This is a great opportunity for somebody like me, who didn’t have a degree course, to enrich the knowledge we have and make good use of the trust of our members. We also strive to give our best service and to showcase good products and results from the government financial support,” said Celsa Datchile, one of the participants from Simbalan, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.
