ATI 13 joins 18-day campaign against VAW
Seven staff of ATI-RTC XIII participated during the opening program of the 18-day campaign against VAW on Nov. 25, 2022.

BUTUAN CITY – Geared towards the empowerment and fighting against abuse of women, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII joined the kick-off and opening program of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) on November 25, 2022 led by the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC).

The activity started with a motorcade which was called Orange your Float where vehicles were decorated into a float dominantly with the color orange as the official color of the campaign. It started at Butuan City Hall Compound to Philippine Science High School Caraga Campus. The opening program was also held there. Tarpaulins, streamers, fans, and accessories such as masks were used as campaign materials.

It was attended by various government agencies such as the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Agriculture, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Tourism, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Department of Health, and other agencies.

Other activities within the 18-day campaign include a press conference by the RGADC and Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (RIACAT-VAWC); Orange Help Desk and Sinina Ko Pagbuot Ko Exhibit on November 28 to December 2, 2022; Buntis Congress to 100 Pregnant Pantawid Pamilya and Non-Pantawid Women on December 6, 2022 in Dinagat Islands; and the Regional Quiz Bowl for VAW Desk Officers and Barangay Captains and the Culmination Activity at SM Butuan Activity Center on December 12, 2022.
