LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – With its continuous efforts to harmonize and implement activities for the Rural-Based Organizations (RBOs), Mary Jane Gonzaga, the RBO point person of Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII, participated the online Consultation Workshop on Various RBOs on April 26-27, 2022 via zoom meeting.

Topics on the implementation of Mandanas-Garcia Ruling, updates, and implications to ATI’s Mandate, function, and responsibilities were discussed by Bernard James Tandang from the Policy and Planning Division (PPD). Moreover, Roy Son R. de la Cruz explained the Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System (PAFES).

Jovanne Dela Cuadra, RBO National Point Person reported the accomplishment for FY 2021 and the plans and programs for FY 2022. On the other hand, each RTC point person also presented their 2021 accomplishments and plans and programs for FY 2022 under RBO Program.

Participants also listened to Virginia Cardenas, ATI consultant, as she talked about innovation in extension delivery for RBOs and some studies to be conducted to assess the programs’ impact on the beneficiaries. They were able to craft the monitoring and evaluation plan for RBO guided by Cindy Alfonso from PPD.

The said activity was attended by other RBO point persons and personnel among the whole ATI network.
