GIGAQUIT, Surigao del Norte - Answering the call for collaborative participation of stakeholders from government, LGUs, and non-government organizations towards the promotion of healthy food consumption and ensuring nutrition security, the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII Nutrition Month Outreach Program was held in Brgy. Mahanub on July 15, 2024 with the theme, "Himsog nga Kabataan, Malipayong Katilingban."

Participated by 150 Indigenous People (IP) children and parents, the program aims to promote and raise awareness of healthy nutrition and food security practices in every Filipino household.

The participants listened to a lecture on healthy and nutritious foods by Ressell Angelie S. Fetalsana, Information Officer II and Alternate GAD point person. Moreover, a storytelling was also given by Shalom Lagahit. They also received kits composed of tumblers, tote bags, pencils, and envelopes.

Present were Sangguniang Bayan Member Angela Larong Macasero, Provincial Agriculturist Ruby-Ann Lagahit, Municipal Agriculturist Gilda Bersabal, Municipal Gender and Development Focal Person Maureen Ecay, and Indigenous Person Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Datu Jerry Calinawan. 

It was implemented in coordination with the Provincial Agriculture Office of Surigao del Norte and the Gigaquit Municipal Agriculture Office through the ATI-RTC XIII Gender and Development (GAD) Program.
