SURIGAO DEL SUR – The Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII has recently conducted its monitoring of certified Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) and field validation of farms whose application is currently in process.

The LSA is a farm certified by ATI practicing applicable agricultural technologies, employing doable farming strategies, and operating successfully.

Violeta T. Laguna, OIC-Asst. Center Director, led the TWG as it interviewed Anita Cacayan, owner of Cacayan Integrated Farm located in Barangay San Jose, Bislig City. The said farm was also a farm school accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

They also visited to validate KN’s Farm School and Training Center, Inc. located at Barangay Gamiton in the municipality of Lanuza and meet its owner Napoloen Orillaneda with Municipal Agriculturist Camarin Camacho.

Martizano Integrated Farm was also evaluated for LSA certification. It is owned by Joan A. Martizano-Zartiga situated at Barangay Christine, Lianga, Surigao del Sur.
