women's month

BUTUAN CITY - In connection with the nationwide celebration of Women's Month and its theme, "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas", women staff of the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center XIII (ATI-RTC XIII) reached out to the Bethany Home (for Girls) – Missionary Sisters of Mary in Baan Km. 3, Butuan City, bringing warmth and essential support on March 4, 2025.

The team spent the day engaging with the children and young teens residing at the Bethany Home. Their visit was filled with joyful interaction, as the staff led the girls in learning and singing songs together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and fun. A captivating storytelling session further enriched the experience, creating a nurturing and imaginative atmosphere for everyone involved.

A significant aspect of the outreach event was the distribution of prepared care packages. These packages contained vital hygiene essentials, practical kitchen supplies, and nourishing food items, aiming to provide tangible support to the Bethany Home and its residents.

This heartwarming initiative was carried out under the umbrella of ATI-RTC XIII's Gender and Development (GAD) Program, aligning with the spirit of Women's Month. It underscores the institute's deep-seated commitment not only to agricultural advancement but also to the holistic development of children and the empowerment of women within the wider community of Butuan City and the Caraga region.

The outreach program exemplifies the Center’s dedication to fostering care and support beyond the agricultural sector, making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young girls during this significant month of recognition for women's contributions across all sectors.
