SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur – In preparation for the implementation of full devolution in accordance with Executive Order no. 28 series of 2008, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII conducted the Agusan del Sur Provincial Consultation Workshop for FY 2025 Agriculture and Fisheries Extension (AFE) Needs on March 30, 2023.

This is to harmonize AFE needs among extension service providers. Participants were informed of the policy framework and thrust and priorities of ATI.

It was participated by representatives from the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office (PAVO), Municipal/City Agriculture Offices, and from cooperatives and Learning Site Cooperators.

Each agency worked on and presented its identified AFE Needs for 2025. Issues, concerns, and recommendations of the different stakeholders were identified and discussed by the group.

“In relation to PAFES, I am very thankful to be able to attend this consultation because issues were clarified. Our questions were answered and we understood the ATI’s role in the planning and conduct of training that would enhance the capability of our agricultural extension workers (AEWs),” says Caesar Burdeos, Municipal Agriculturist of San Luis, Agusan del Sur.
