BUTUAN CITY– Ten Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) in the Caraga Region formally renewed their certifications on June 3, 2026, reaffirming their commitment to serve as community-based centers for agricultural learning, technology demonstration, and farmer development. The renewal activity also strengthened the partnership between the Agricultural Training Institute–Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII and its LSA partners through the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and Memoranda of Agreement (MOA).

The renewed certifications covered two Local Government Unit-operated LSAs, two Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF)-supported LSAs, and six Regular LSAs. These include DCA Agri-Farm Training School and LGU Sibagat Demo Farm under the LGU-operated category; Just-Hiro Rice-Based Agricultural Services and FASRMCO Integrated Farm under RCEF-LSA; and EM Nature Farms Guias Integrated Farm, FRIEND Diversified Organic Farm, Jolly Goat Dairy Farm, Welbec Agricultural Farm Co., and St. Thomas Micro-Farm Learning Center under the Regular LSA category. The certification renewal recognizes the sites’ continued compliance with ATI standards and their sustained contribution to agricultural extension and capacity-building initiatives.

Learning Sites for Agriculture are ATI-accredited farms, agri-enterprises, and training facilities that demonstrate successful and practical agricultural technologies and practices. As ATI’s extension partners, LSAs provide venues for hands-on learning, technology demonstrations, and farmer-to-farmer knowledge sharing. These sites help bridge the gap between classroom-based training and actual farm application by allowing farmers, fisherfolk, youth, and other stakeholders to learn directly from successful practitioners.
