BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte - Fifty rice farmers from Barangays Matabao and Talo-ao participated in the Rice Crop Manager (RCM) briefing conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII. The one-day activity, held on February 13, 2025, at the Municipal Agriculture Office of Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, was a collaborative effort with the City Agriculture Office of Cabadbaran City.

Agricultural Technologist Decemboy C. Tiu introduced the farmers to the RCM, an innovative web-based tool designed to provide customized advice on optimal rice management and fertilizer application. This technology aims to empower farmers with data-driven insights to enhance their yields and potentially lower their input costs.

Ms. Maria Den Parro and Ressell Angelie Fetalsana of ATI-RTC XIII, together with the On-the-Job trainees from Caraga State University, conducted the interview and explained the fertilizer recommendation which was derived using the rice crop manager.

Municipal Agriculturist Gertrulyn Natonton expressed her sincere appreciation to ATI Caraga for their ongoing support of the local government unit's agricultural initiatives. She highlighted the RCM briefing as a valuable opportunity for farmers to gain practical guidance that could lead to significant improvements in their farm productivity and economic efficiency through informed fertilizer use and other management strategies.
