BUTUAN CITY - The Agricultural Training Institute–Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII through its Information Services Section (ISS), successfully conducted nine (9) batches of e-Learning briefings for students of the Caraga State University - College of Agriculture and Agri-Industries (CSU-CAA) on August 26-29, 2025, at the CSU Library in Ampayon, Butuan City. The activity served as an orientation for learners who officially enrolled in ATI’s online learning platform, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to modernizing agricultural education.

The participants were enrolled in the Technology-integrated Radio, e-Learning, and Social Media Education+ (TreSE+): A Modified School-on-the-Air (SOA) Program on Vegetable Production, which officially started airing on August 16, 2025. This program integrates traditional extension services with digital platforms, combining radio, online modules, and social media to provide a wider reach and more interactive learning experience.

During the briefings, Ms. Ressell Angelie S. Fetalsana, Information Officer II, introduced the ATI's electronic extension services as a free, flexible, and cost-effective mode of learning. Through the e-Learning portal, participants were oriented on how to access agricultural courses that are specifically designed to meet the needs of students, farmers, and other stakeholders. The participants were also encouraged to continue pursuing opportunities in the field of agriculture. They were introduced to the value of agricultural extension as a meaningful avenue for knowledge-sharing and community development.

The e-Learning courses offered under the program are carefully designed to provide the youth with relevant knowledge, practical skills, and innovative techniques that can help them respond to emerging challenges in the agriculture and fisheries sectors. By engaging young learners, the program also aims to foster a greater interest in agri-enterprises, ensuring that future professionals are equipped to lead in the development of sustainable food systems.

As part of the TreSE+ program, more than 300 students were officially enrolled in at least five (5) e-Learning courses on crop production, which complement the lessons of the SOA on Vegetable Production. This milestone underscores ATI-Caraga’s continuing effort to empower the next generation of agricultural leaders by making education more accessible, adaptive, and relevant to the digital age.
