AGUSAN DEL SUR – In view of the recently conducted School-on-the-air on Cacao Production dubbed as Asenso Kaw sa Kakaw which ran for 16 episodes from May to September 2021, the 580 graduates received their kits and awards in their respective Local Government Units (LGUs).

The graduates of SOA on Cacao Production receive their kits and awards during their local distribution through the Provincial and Municipal Agriculture Offices.

Each graduate received 1 pc of t-shirt, 1 pc standard size rubber boots, 1 pc budding knife, and 1 pc ecobag. On the other hand, the top 1 graduate of every participating municipality received 1 pc of pruning shears and 1 pc of plastic knapsack sprayer. The distribution started last November 8, 2021 and is still on-going.

The SOA aims to strengthen and intensify the promotion of cacao production in the province of Agusan del Sur. It formally culminated last October 7, 2021 through a graduation on air at 5:00-6:00 AM via 93.5 FM Hope Radio Philippines Butuan.

It was done in partnership with the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office (PAVO) with Joel Bustamante as provincial SOA coordinator and anchorperson.

Moreover, the endeavor was conducted locally with the efforts of the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAOs) with their corresponding SOA coordinators, to wit: Carlito H. Pacot of MAO - Sibagat, Allan Rey Garcia of CAO- Bayugan City, Rey Nelson T. Batalona of MAO - Prosperidad, Kane Nekko A. Galvez and Marifee Gato of MAO - San Francisco, Evsyl L. Ybañez of MAO - Rosario, Endrenie C. Magoncia of MAO – Bunawan, Mihenel M. Maste of MAO – Trento, Sherwin T. De Rosas of MAO – Sta. Josefa, Loven Grace E. Nuangay of MAO – Veruela, Paris P. Oquias of MAO – Loreto, Emily R. Mercado of MAO – La Paz, Miriam B. Moreno of MAO – Talacogon, Rodrigo A. Tiu of MAO - San Luis, and Dionifil J. Carin of MAO - Esperanza.
