PROSERIDAD, Agusan del Sur - The last wave of the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII Nutrition Month Outreach Program dubbed as "Himsog nga Kabataan, Malipayong Katilingban" was successfully conducted at Brgy. Patin-ay on July 22, 2024 participated by 100 children aged 6 to 13.
The program aims to promote and raise awareness of healthy nutrition and food security practices in every Filipino household and as support to the 2024 Nutrition Month celebration theme, "Sa PPAN (Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition): Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat para sa Lahat!"
Jalyn Maratas, the Provincial Health and Nutrition focal person from the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office, was the resource person. Moreover, Katherine Tan, from the Provincial Nutrition Office, was also present during the activity.
"We are very thankful that our barangay was chosen as the recipient of this outreach program. We hope for more intervention for our children, for the parents, and for our farmers. Kudos to ATI-RTC XIII," said Hon. Brgy. Captain Zissa Vanessa R. Roldan in her message during the activity.
Participants received kits composed of umbrella, tote bags, pencils, and envelopes.
