BUTUAN CITY – After the successful conduct of the online 4-H Regional Youth Camp last October 8, 2021, three 4-H Clubs specifically in Cantilan and Carrascal, Surigao del Sur and Santiago, Agusan del Norte were able to receive extension support distributed last December 13, 2021.
As agreed during the Camp, the selected clubs got various vegetable seeds and gardening tools such as seedling trays, knapsack sprayer, sprinkler, plastic mulch, and rolls of twine as support for the establishment of a communal garden in their respective localities.
The said camp aims to provide opportunities for participants to get new knowledge and timely information to be creative and empowered youth amidst the pandemic. This is also to strengthen the networking and commitment among the 4-H members and partner agencies not just in the agriculture sector but to other private and public sectors. It was spearheaded by Mary Grace Salve – Rural-based Organization (RBO) point person, with Mary Jane Gonzaga – Alternate RBO point person.
