BUTUAN CITY - In connection with the celebration of the 12-day campaign to end Violence against Women (VAW), the Commission on Population and Development Caraga, in partnership with the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC), spearheaded the first Gender and Development (GAD) Scientific Conference on December 5, 2024, at Go Hotel, Robinsons.
The event aimed to showcase research findings and best practices in the advancement of women’s empowerment and gender equality in the Caraga Region. Furthermore, it sought to strengthen partnerships between government and private sectors, inspire innovative approaches, and enhance the implementation of gender-responsive initiatives.
Representatives from the RGADC member agencies, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), and government and private sectors attended the event.
The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII, represented by GAD Alternate Point Person Ressell Angelie Fetalsana, participated in the event.
