The province of Agusan del Norte, as PAFES pilot province, presented to the stakeholders and partners its Collaborative Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Programs (CPAFEP) for comments and further improvement. The event is held on March 4, 2022 at the Grand Palace Hotel in Butuan City

BUTUAN CITY – The Agusan del Norte Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System (ANAFES) presented to the stakeholders, partner agencies, and private groups its Collaborative Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Programs (CPAFEP). The event took place at the Grand Palace Hotel in Butuan City last March 4, 2022.

In the CPAFEP, the interventions and strategic extension support services of eighteen (18) commodities in the next three years were identified by the province. The CPAFEP was crafted based on the Provincial Commodity Investment Plan (PCIP) and a series of workshops and consultations with the Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs); national, regional, and provincial offices; academe; private sectors; indigenous people; and women, youth, farmers and fishers organizations.

Participants during the meeting solicited their comments and concerns which were noted for consideration during the finalization of the CPAFEP. Another meeting will be scheduled for its final presentation and approval.

Agusan del Norte is the pilot province of the Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System (PAFES). As PAFES is now being rolled out in non-pilot provinces, the CPAFEP of Agusan del Norte will become a model document once other provinces will start crafting their own CPAFEP.
