Youth Scale up in digital world
Municipal Agriculturist Gilbert Bautista emphasizes the importance of smartphones in exploring the digital world especially in posting agricultural products online during the opening program of the Digital Farmers Program 102 in Cagwait, Surigao del Sur on March 10, 2022.

CAGWAIT, Surigao del Sur- Farmers and youths in Cagwait, Surigao del Sur are now participating in the second level of the Digital Farmers Program here at G & A Beach Resort, Brgy. Poblacion, Cagwait, SDS. This will run for two days starting March 10 and will culminate on March 11, 2022.

This is in coordination with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Cagwait headed by Municipal Agriculturist Gilbert Bautista. In his message, he emphasizes the importance of smartphones in exploring the digital world especially in posting agricultural products online using various applications available in the internet.

“On behalf of the Local Government Unit of Cagwait, I really thanked the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 for conducting the training for farmers for them to be updated on the latest technology when it comes to farming.” Bautista stated. According to him, participants should continue to learn and level up in the coming DFP 103 soon.

Said training is funded under the National Rice Program of the Department of Agriculture-ATI through its Information Services Division. Maria Den Parro, Agriculturist II served as Project Officer of the DFP 102. The Resource Persons for the two-day training are Ginalyn Arbutante and Resell Angelie Fetalsana, both are Information Officer II of the Institute. With them is John Paul Abonitalla, Technical Staff from the Information Services Section of ATI-RTC 13.
