BUTUAN CITY- Completers of the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) 102 prepared their social media marketing plans during the workshop. Participants comprising farmers and youths of the three batches of DFP 102 harmoniously planned their activity as reflected in their schedules made.

Presentation of plans followed right after the discussion of the lesson on social media marketing which was delivered by Information Officer II Ginalyn V. Arbutante of the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13.

The DFP 102 is the second level of the program which is purposely made for farmers to be abreast on the different farming technologies specifically on the familiarization of various agricultural applications using their smartphones at hand.

“Through social media marketing plan that I made, I realized that it is easy for me to post my egg products online since this will serve as my guide on what, where when, why and how to post effectively. My customers can also monitor my posts every now and then, planning is very much important in making business online.” Stated Fernando Calixterio, a farmer-participant from Cagwait, Surigao del Sur. On the other hand, Jalelyn Lanaria, another farmer from Cagwait, SDS made her plan and schedules of Facebook posts in promoting her Sari-Sari Store particularly on the different recipes that she will be selling every day.

The DFP 102 was successfully conducted in Tandag City, Cagwait, Surigao del Sur and Esperanza, Agusan del Sur on March 8-9, 10-11 and 14-15, 2022, respectively. The Information Services Section of ATI-RTC 13 spearheads the said training.
