Initial coordination with farmcaster Fritzieh Trujillo for the upcoming implementation of SOA on Smart Rice Agriculture and Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund in Surigao del Sur.

LOS ANGELES, Butuan City–The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII will conduct four (4) School on-the-Air programs in four Provinces of Caraga region starting this April 2022.

The School-on-the-Air (SOA) is defined as a specially designed radio program where the subject matter is presented systematically and in a progressive manner with the goal of achieving desired results under a teaching-learning situation.

It is expected to help catalyze behavior change and social mobilization among key stakeholders. In particular, this aims to increase the awareness and deepen the understanding and promotion of the identified agricultural technologies to the said provinces by bringing the necessary knowledge, technology, and support services to the target audience using radio as the communication medium.

Further, this will be spearheaded by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 through the Information Services Section (ISS) in partnership with Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) and Municipal Agriculture Offices (MAOs).

The schedule of coordination meetings for the SOA programs will be the following; SOA on Organic Agriculture Production and Smart Rice Agriculture (SRA) in Province of Surigao del Norte on March 23, 2022, SOA on Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) and SRA in the Province of Surigao del Sur March 28, 2022 and SOA on Corn Production and SRA in Agusan del Sur on March 30, 2022.
