CARRASCAL, Surigao del Sur- The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 recently conducted an evaluation to the Farmers’ Information and Technology Services (FITS) Kiosk of Emily Integrated Farm on April 6, 2022.

Said farm is a Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) certified by the ATI-RTC 13 last July 28, 2022. Owned by Emily P. Nimes in Brgy. Gamuton, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.
OIC-Center Director Fil Victor A. Babanto spearheads the said evaluation. Evaluating Team represented by Jason Paul Dads E. Jampac, Media Production Specialist II at the same time the OIC-Section Chief of the Information Services Section (ISS) together with Ginalyn V. Arbutante, Information Officer II. On the other hand, Municipal Agriculturist Japhet Sugian of Carrascal, SDS Municipal Agriculture Office also joined the team.

Moreover, Farm Owner Emily Nimes received various Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials from ATI. These are to be displayed on the FITS Kiosk which can be read by the farm visitors and learn on the updated and modernized farming technologies that they can apply to their own farms.

The ATI-RTC 13 will be enhancing the said FITS Kiosk soon through the provision of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) materials. These materials will be Laptop, Projector or a Television which can be used during trainings and other related activities of Nimes Integrated Farm.

The establishment of the LSA Farm FITS Kiosk is covered by the Techno Gabay Program (TGP) of the ATI. A delivery system established to improve access of farmers, traders, processors, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to information and technology services.
