LOS ANGELES, Butuan City – To orient the participant on the current Agriculture and Fisheries (AF) Section/extension policies and plans, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) XIII conducted the Technical Guidance Session on the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Strategic Planning Workshop FY 2023-2028 via Zoom on September 1, 2022.

It specifically aims to Internalize the One-DA reform agenda and the National Agri-Fishery Modernization and Industrialization Plan (NAFMIP) 2021-2023, describe the National Extension Agenda and Programs (NEAP) 2022-2028, discuss the Mandanas-Garcia Ruling, DA’s Further Devolution Transition Plan and the Province-led Agriculture and Fisheries Extension System (PAFES); and define the methodologies and expected outputs of the empathy journey.

There were 26 individuals who were representatives from the Municipal and City Agriculture Offices, Municipal and City Veterinary Offices, and nongovernment agencies who attended.

During the open forum, queries were raised regarding the status and implementation of Mandanas Ruling, full devolution, and PAFES.

Moreover, participants were also led to prepare and submit their empathy journey as a pre-requisite before attending the Strategic Planning Workshop which will be held on September 12-16, 2022.
