After the four-month-long session, the 588 enrollees of the School-on-the-Air on Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Funds (RCEF) earned their certificates of completion during the Mass Graduation on October 17, 2023, at the Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, Butuan City. The participants are from the different barangays of Butuan City.

In her message, OIC-Assistant Center Director of ATI, Ms. Violeta T. Laguna, thanked the Office of the City Agriculturist headed by City Agriculturist Engr. Pierre Anthony Joven for their support in the implementation of the SOA, the SOA coordinators, and the resource persons who were instrumental in the transfer of knowledge on the production of high-quality inbred rice, seeds, and farm mechanization. She commended the enrollees’ commitment to learning through the SOA. She encouraged the graduates to apply and share what they gained from the program to improve their productivity, thereby contributing to the attainment of the DA’s twin goal - Masaganang Agrikultura, Maunlad na Ekonomiya. Engr. Joven expressed his appreciation to the training coordinator, speakers, and trainers. He mentioned that the graduates' sacrifices in waking up early in the morning to participate in the sessions have now become additional knowledge and skills as pillars of food security. He hoped this learning would change their attitudes and behavior, and gradually be adopted and applied.

Aside from certificates, the top-performing graduates also received tokens as awards. The top-five graduates are Renato Paldo, Shirley Espora, Josephine Alejo, Leonida Maboles, and Myrna Pableo. They all received agricultural materials as awards.

The SOA program aims to enhance the capabilities of farmers and stakeholders within the priority areas of the RCEF extension Program on inbred rice, seed production, and farm mechanization.
