BUTUAN CITY – Guided by a shared goal of a harmonized implementation of the rice program initiatives, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 13 conducted Regional Consultative Meeting and Planning Workshop for the Rice Program.

Held on January 27, 2022 at Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center, said meeting highlighted the ATI’s physical accomplishments and activities in 2021. The OIC – Assistant Center Director, at the same time the Rice and RCEF Point Person Violeta T. Laguna, mentioned that the interventions focused on technical briefings for LSA cooperators, and farmers, establishment, and enhancement of LSAs, among others.

Meanwhile, Mr. Enocencio B. Minguez, Agriculturist II of the DA-Regional Field Office presented the regional rice roadmap and emphasized the key role of various implementing agencies in the efficient program implementation.

More importantly, the provincial rice program coordinators from Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, and Surigao del Sur came up with the training needs and identified issues with corresponding recommendations which will be the basis for crafting plans and programs for 2023 to 2026.
