ESPERANZA, Agusan del Sur-The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) 13 is currently conducting the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) 101 here in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur. This will run for two days starting today up to the 24th of February 2022.

As 3rd batch of DFP 101 training conducted for this year and 11th batch since last year, still the DFP 101 aimed at encouraging farmers to utilize smartphones as well as accessing the internet. This is along with the introduction of various agricultural applications and social media marketing in advancing their farming productivity.

A total of twenty-two (22) participants joined in the said DFP 101 training. These comprised of eleven (11) farmers and eleven (11) youths. The youth assisted their partner farmer who also used to be their parents and immediate family during the Smartphone 101 lesson, as the first topic discussed by Ms. Ginalyn V. Arbutante from ATI-RTC 13. On the other hand, farmers showed their willingness to learn the parts and functions of smartphones by listening eagerly to the instructions during the hands-on activity.

Said training is in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Esperanza, Agusan del Sur through the Municipal Agriculture Office represented by Agriculturist II Ismael Saguran. This will be culminated on February 24, 2022.
