The Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 02 (ATI-RTC 02) underwent its ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit on October 21, 2025, reaffirming its commitment to uphold international quality management standards in delivering extension and training services for the agriculture and fisheries sector, and it was part of ATI’s continuous pursuit of operational excellence, accountability, and client satisfaction.

The audit reviewed the Center’s adherence to its established quality management system (QMS) and evaluated the consistency of its implementation across various processes and service areas.

During the opening meeting, ATI-RTC 02 OIC-Center Director, Dr. Claris Marayag-Alaska, welcomed the auditor and emphasized the importance of maintaining quality standards not only as a compliance measure but also as a core value of ATI’s public service.

The audit covered areas such as provision of training knowledge, product development, risk management, administrative support, and records management. It aimed to validate the Center’s continuous improvement mechanisms and responsiveness to stakeholder needs.

Mr. Merwin F. Quinto, TUV-SUD-PSB Philippines auditor, discussed the scope and objectives of the surveillance audit, stressing that the process serves as an opportunity for ATI-RTC 02 to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. The session also provided valuable insights on sustaining good practices and strengthening internal coordination.

Throughout the day, ATI staff actively participated in interviews, presented documentation, and shared process improvements made since the last audit cycle. The openness and collaboration reflected the Center’s culture of transparency and commitment to quality service.

The activity concluded with an exit meeting highlighting commendable practices observed and actionable recommendations for further enhancement of ATI’s QMS implementation.
