A milestone worth celebrating in Cagayan! The five core farmer-members of the Soil Regenerative Advocates of Cagayan Participatory Guarantee System Inc. (SRAC PGS Inc.) have officially earned their Participatory Organic Certification under the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS)—valid from April 22, 2026 to April 21, 2029.
This certification reflects not just compliance, but a shared commitment to sustainable farming, safe food, and community trust under the Philippine National Standards for Organic Agriculture.

Behind this success is a journey of hard work and strong collaboration:
From PGS formation training held on June 23–27, 2025, to farm pre-assessments, coaching and mentoring, and the official inspection by DA-BAFS and DA RFO Regulatory last February 9–13, 2026—every step was made possible through the collective efforts of the Center, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 02 Organic Agriculture Program, DA RFO 02 experiment stations, the Local Government Unit of Lal-lo, and the farmer-members themselves.
The issuance of the Participatory Organic Certificate (POC) is more than a milestone—it is a seal of integrity and trust. It serves as an attestation that the farmer-members and their listed commodities in Annex A have been inspected by BAFS and found compliant with the current Philippine National Standards for Organic Agriculture, covering both plant and animal production, and other applicable regulations for organic agriculture.
Special recognition to the Local Government Unit of Lal-lo, through the Municipal Agriculture Office led by the Municipal Agriculturist, for their unwavering guidance and support throughout the process.
The organic certification of core farmer-members is a key requirement toward full PGS group accreditation—making this achievement an important step forward for SRAC PGS Inc. towards Accreditation to become an Organic Certifying Body.
