The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) actively participated in the 17th National Rice Technology Forum held at the Municipal Grounds of Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija, today, March 19, 2024.

Under the theme "Masaganang Palay at Bigas, Maunlad na Pilipinas," the forum aims to promote the adoption of high-yielding rice technologies, including hybrid and inbred seed varieties, rice machinery, and other innovative rice-based practices, in collaboration with the rice cluster.

Dr. Joey A. Belarmino, Center Director of the Agricultural Training Instituteβ€”Regional Training Center III, commenced the event by acknowledging the esteemed guests, participants, and partner agencies in attendance.

Honorable Imee L. De Guzman, Municipal Mayor of Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija, extended a warm welcome to all attendees.

Dr. Arthur D. Dayrit, Regional Technical Director for Operation and Extension of DA-RFO III acting as spokesperson for Honorable Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, emphasized, "Hinihiling ko po na sa inyo ang patuloy na suporta at pakikiisa sa ating adhikain, na palakasin ang industriya ng palay at mapanatili ang sekuridad sa pagkain ng Pilipinas."

The opening program concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by representatives from various agencies present at the event.

More than 500 participants attended the forum, organized by the National Rice Program with support from the Department of Agriculture Region III. The said forum will run until March 21, 2024.
