𝗔𝗧𝗜- 𝗖𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗙𝗣 𝗜𝗡 𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗡'𝗦 𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗨𝗬𝗔𝗦 𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) introduced the Digital Farmers Program (DFP) during the “Araw ng Magsasaka” on April 3, 2024, as part of the Sibuyas Festival 2024 in the Municipality of Bongabon, Nueva Ecija.

The program aims to increase the productivity of farmers by equipping them with the use of basic digital tools for their agricultural activities and using their smartphones to promote and sell their products online.

Mr. Kent Edward S. Ballesteros, ATI-CL Media Production Specialist II, shared basic information about the DFP including the internet fundamentals, and the use of e-commerce platforms.

Moreover, Hon. Christian P. Binuya, Municipal Vice Mayor; Mrs. Elvira H. Ronguillo and Mr. Armando V. Gamboa, Festival President of the said event, gave an opening remarks.

The program was also attended by distinct individuals including Dr. Eduardo L. Lapuz, Jr., Officer-in-Charge Regional Executive Director of the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office III; Hon. Camille A. Villar, Deputy Speaker District Representative of Las Piñas; Hon. Francisco P. Tiu Laurel, Jr., Secretary of the Department of Agriculture; and Hon. Ricardo I. Padilla, Municipal Mayor of Bongabon who gave their inspirational messages.

Additionally, a keynote speech was delivered by Hon. Czarina D. Umali, Former Congresswoman, 3rd Congressional District, Nueva Ecija.

The best yielders and livestock farmers were also recognized during the event.

The program concluded with a closing remarks from Ms. Jackielou R. Gallarde, Municipal Agriculturist of Bongabon.
