The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) gathered the recipients of the projects under the National Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Program (NUPAP) for the Stakeholders Engagement and Program Assessment on March 20-22, 2024 in BFAR-NFTC, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Compound, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. The activity aimed to share the accomplishments and best practices of each successful recipients, and to address the issues and concerns encountered through collaborative discussion among stakeholders.

During the opening program, Ms. Evelyn Zafra, Senior Agriculturist in BFAR-NFTC, welcomed the participants and discussed an overview of the training center. Meanwhile, Ms. Lilibeth Afan, the head for training in the agency, briefed the participants on the house rules of the center during their stay in their humble home.

The prevailing issues and concerns were consulted and documented, while best practices and accomplishments became an inspiration to each recipient to further improve and nurture their respective community gardens and nursery.

After the program, the participants were able to take a quick tour within CLSU KAMALIG, with the assistance of the University Extension Program Office. The tour has given each recipient more ideas on how they can beautify and make their grants more productive with the use of existing technologies and techniques in agriculture.

Ms. Babelyn Lopez, Project Officer of the activity, expressed her gratitude to the active participation of each stakeholder. She also reiterated the important role of each individual to ensure that the plans and goals will be met and that the grant will be sustained in the coming years.

The activity was facilitated by the Training Management Staff of ATI-CL spearheaded by Ms. Babelyn P. Lopez; Ms. Krizzell D. Galang as Alternate Project Officer; Dr. Dianne M. Lapuz as Process Documenter; Engr. Rannel S. Cruz as Technical Staff; and Mr. Jan Limuel C. Guevarra as Administrative Staff.

The Stakeholders Engagement and Program Assessment is one of the interventions of the center to update and monitor the projects granted to requesting parties.
