The Agricultural Training Institute β Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in collaboration with the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) and Villar Sipag Foundation, organized a three-day Training on Capacity Building on Enterprise Development for Shared Processing Facility (SPF) Beneficiaries under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) held at Brgy. Matawe, Dingalan, Aurora from April 18-20, 2024.
The training aimed to provide SPF beneficiaries with knowledge, skills, and attitudes that would allow them to operate their facilities and businesses more successfully and efficiently.
Mr. Albert Rimorin, owner of Zen Tierras Farm, warmly welcomed the participants, and emphasized the significant role of cooperatives in the agricultural sector.
Ms. Elena P. Dela Cruz from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Engr. Von Eliel B. Camaso, and Mr. Khing Jomar M. Esguerra from PhilMech served as resource persons, providing valuable insights.
The discussion focused on Enterprise Development which concludes concept of entrepreneurship and its importance, Enterprise Development Life Cycle, Characteristics of an Entrepreneur, Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Cashiering.
Moreover, 16 coconut farmers from different cooperatives of Dingalan, Aurora participated the Phase 3: Capacity Building on Enterprise Development for CFIDP βShared Processing Facility Beneficiaries.
