The Agricultural Training Institute- Central Luzon (ATI-CL) conducted a Training on Pest and Fly Control for INSPIRE Project Beneficiaries in Region 3 held at Lupang Hinirang Agriculture Inc., Brgy. Mahipon, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija on May 22-23, 2024.
The activity was participated of 25 INSPIRE Project Beneficiaries from different municipalities in Region 3, which aimed to provide knowledge on the integration of pest and fly control as part of the Β biosecurity measures in their respective projects.
The topics were Β delivered by the resource speakers, Dr. Louise G. Sudla, City Veterinarian-Gapan; Ms. Kimberly Ann S. Domingo, PRMSU Faculty; and Mr. Jayson B. Nidua, Β ATI-CL Development Management Officer I.
"Sa totoo lang wala akong kaalam-alam paano ang pag-aalaga ng baboy, kaya sa ganitong training ay mas marami akong napupulot na aral lalo na sa waste management. Dahil kapag magpatayo tayo ng babuyan, ang unang magrereact diyan ay βyung mga kasama mo sa community. Kaya sa pag attend ko sa ay marami akong nalaman na maibabahagi ko sa mga tao sa Casiguran," quipped Mr. Benjamin MiΓ±a, a participant from Casiguran, Aurora.
At the end of the training, the participants crafted their re-entry plan that will serve as their guide for their activities in their various municipalities as well as their respective projects.
