The Agricultural Training Institute- Central Luzon (ATI-CL) recognized the Fabian Integrated Farm as RCEF-Learning Site for Agriculture during the awarding ceremony held at Sapa, Samal, Bataan on July 10, 2024.
Mr. Rowell Fabian and Ms. Janice Fabian, owners of Fabian Integrated Farm, expressed their gratitude at achieving their goal of transforming their farm into a learning site aimed at -helping fellow farmers.
"Nasa dugo na namin ang misyong pagtulong sa kapwa,” Mr. Fabian remarked.
Local officials, including Mr. Dione Verni Langas, Barangay Captain of Sapa, Bataan, and Mrs. Nora Medina, former Municipal Agriculturist, praised the initiative.
They highlighted the importance of the farm in sharing new farming techniques in the community.
Furthermore, Hon. Ronald Ortiguerra, Samal Municipal Vice Mayor, acknowledged the challenges faced by farmers and commended the Fabians for their efforts in adopting modern farming practices.
"Naramdaman at nakita ko po ang buhay ng isang magsasaka, nandyan ang kakulangan sa patubig, pang abono at higit sa lahat ay pondo," Quipped Hon. Ortiguerra.
He also congratulated the owner, Mr. and Mrs. Fabian, "Ngayon po binabati ko ang Fabian Integrated Farm dahil meron na tayong sariling programa dahil narito ang bagong teknolohiya ng pagsasaka at narito ang mamamayan ng Bayang ng Samal na handang sumuporta."
Hon. Vangie Buensuceso, Committee of Agriculture of Samal, Bataan, also gave her warm support to the farm.
Moreover, Dr. Joey A. Belarmino, Center Director of ATI-CL, discussed some information about the RCEF-LSA and warmly conveyed his message of support.
"Asahan ninyo na kami sa ATI-RTC III ay nasa likod ninyo para patuloy kayong gabayan at gampanan na bigyan kayo ng patuloy na pagsasanay para sa pagtuturo sa iba pang magsasaka para sila naman ang magpunyagi," he said.
The designation of Fabian Integrated Farm as a Learning Site for Agriculture represents a significant step towards promoting sustainable farming practices and knowledge-sharing in Bataan.
