The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) concluded the series of Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Program (CFIDP) Information Caravan with its 5th batch in Barangay Buhangin, Baler, Aurora on March 21, 2024 among 50 coconut farmers.

The activity aims to disseminate knowledge and information about government programs for coconut farmers in the Philippines and seeks to develop and modernize the coconut industry in the country.

The caravan was attended by representatives of various agencies, including Ms. Gloria A. Amansec from the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation in Aurora; Mr. Ruben L. Abucejo, Jr., Cooperative Development Authority Region III; Mr. Jim Dela Cruz, Philippine Coconut Authority in Aurora; Ms. Florelyn A. Caniete, Department of Trade and Industry in Aurora; Ms. Andrea O. Rosal, National Dairy Authority; Ms. Manilyn M. Niegros, Landbank-Aurora ; Ms. Nerisa A. Barribal,TESDA-Aurora; and Ms. Susana Rutaquio, Municipal Agriculture Office in Aurora.

All the representatives discussed and provided valuable information regarding coconut farming and industry to the participants of the program.

Moreover, Senator Cynthia A. Villar, Chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, gave an inspirational remark to the participants through a video message.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Eula Dee LaΓ±ada, Office-in-Charge of the Information Services Section (ISS) at ATI-CL.
