The Agricultural Training Institute Central Luzon - Partnerships and Accreditation Section (ATI CL-PASS) attended the Training on Farmer Livestock School on Goat Enterprise Management (FLS-GEM) held in Aurora Provincial Agricultural Development Training Center in Baler, Aurora.
A total of twenty-five (25) goat raisers from the Municipality of Dipaculao, Aurora participated, which aims to equip the participants and apply the knowledge and skills on science-based goat production in their respective farms for sustainability, productivity and profitability.
The training was attended by Mr. Amando Edrada, Municipal Agriculturist of Dipaculao; Dr. Angelo Silvestre, Provincial Veterinarian; and representatives from ATI-RTC III, Mr. Jayson B. Nidua and Mr. Rodolfo Padua Jr.
In addition, the training was facilitated by trainers from FLS-GEM from Aurora and this training will run for 23 weeks and will end in March 2025.
Further, the team also monitored the SWAIB project together with the Provincial Veterinary Office in Brgy. Nonong, San Luis, Aurora. The facility is almost 95% complete with the component of production facility, 10-boar capacity pen, a laboratory for the semen, storage room, biosecurity area and biogas. This project aims to help with producing an upgraded quality of swine in the Province of Aurora through Artificial Insemination.
