The Agricultural Training Institute- Central Luzon (ATI-CL) conducted a field validation and interview for the Filipino Young Farmers Internship Program in Taiwan (FYFIPT) Batch 6 on February 13, 2025.

The evaluation, led by Dr. Dianne M. Lapuz, Regional Focal Person of the International Exchange Program; Ms. Maria Theresa S. Villanueva, Alternate Focal Person, and the Provincial and Municipal Committees of the International Exchange Program from Aurora, Bataan, Tarlac, and Zambales, identified six promising candidates.

Ms. Jessa R. Llabrez, from Orani, Bataan is a Bataan Peninsula State University graduate in Agricultural Engineering with experience in high-value crops, rice, mango, livestock, and practical experience at Mayuyo’s Farm and Kubota Corporation in Japan.

Ms. Allardyce S. Aragon, from Samal, Bataan, is an out-of-school youth with extensive experience in rice, corn, coconut, vegetable farming, and livestock raising, aspiring to establish an agriculture-related business.

Ms. Elyza Jane R. Santiago is from San Marcelino, Zambales, a Bachelor of Agricultural Technology graduate who cultivates vegetables, fruits, and goats, aiming to modernize farming practices.

Ms. Gwynne M. Falloran from Subic, Zambales, is a Registered Agriculturist with a degree in Agriculture major in Animal Science, committed to promoting sustainable farming.

Mr. Jayron R. Pentecostes from Camiling, Tarlac, is a Bachelor of Animal Science graduate with international agricultural knowledge from an internship in Israel, managing ventures in goat production, rice farming, fisheries, and crop cultivation.

Ms. Rosebelle G. Hugo from Baler, Aurora, is a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture graduate involved in poultry, cattle, fish farming, and crop production, actively participating in agricultural training programs.

These applicants exemplify the next generation of Philippine agriculture, possessing the skills, passion, and dedication to advance sustainable farming.

The FYFIPT, a collaboration between the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO), aims to empower young Filipino farmers through training, resources, and financial opportunities, transforming them into successful agricultural entrepreneurs. 

Moreover, the program seeks to equip these future leaders with the skills and knowledge to innovate and thrive in the agricultural sector.
