Aurora tops Japan internship application for young farmers

Young farmers from Aurora namely King Harold Flores from Maria Aurora; and Jabez Joy Librado from Baler bagged the top 1 spot in the graduate and non-graduate category, respectively, in the Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFLTPJ) Batch 2024 application exam and interview held in October this year.

The following youth also placed during the said exam and interview for the graduate and non-graduate categories:

Graduate Category

  • Top 2 Mark Paul C. De Vera - Maria Aurora, Aurora
  • Top 3 Angelica SD. Buenaventura - San Ildefonso, Bulacan
  • Top 4 Lady Aubrey C. Felix - Baler, Aurora
  • Top 5 Jose Rey C. Villezca - Botolan, Zambales

Non-Graduate Category

  • Top 2 Michael Ryan Valencia - Pilar, Bataan
  • Top 3 Emmanuel Jess R. Mendoza - San Ildefonso, Bulacan
  • Top 4.5 Romnick S. Intacto - San Ildefonso, Bulacan
  • Top 4.5 Khurt Russel U. De Jesus - Pilar, Bataan

The said individuals will also be subjected to field validation in the following days. If they will pass the validation, they will take the national examination in order to pursue their internship in Japan next year.

The YFFLTPJ is a partnership between the Department of Agriculture, and Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC). It aims to develop deserving young Filipino farmers to become farmer leaders and empowered agricultural entrepreneurs.
