The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) in partnership with the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice), conducted a three-day Training on Leadership and Organizational Management in support of the Rice Business Innovations System (RiceBIS) Community in Central Luzon – Batch 1 held at Merryland Integrated Farm and Training Center Inc., Barangay Taal, Pulilan, Bulacan from March 25 to 27, 2025.
A total of thirty (30) farmer leaders representing different RiceBIS Communities from the province of Tarlac, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija, who actively participated in the training, which aimed to enhance their leadership capabilities, equip them with essential management skills, and empower them to become proactive and effective leaders in their respective organizations and communities.
The program was designed to strengthen their competencies in leading cooperative-based enterprises, nurturing community development, and ensuring the sustainability of the RiceBIS Program in Central Luzon.
Moreover, Mr. Karlo F. Galang, General Manager of the Kitanglad Multi-Purpose Cooperative, served as the resource person throughout the three-day training. His comprehensive discussions covered fundamental topics essential to leadership and organizational management.
Through interactive lectures, group discussions, and workshop activities, participants gained valuable insights and practical knowledge that will enable them to lead their respective RiceBIS communities with confidence and efficiency.
