𝗔𝗧𝗜-𝗖𝗟 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗔𝗣 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀

The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL) conducted a three-day Training on Good Agricultural Practices for Rice in Central Luzon held at the Hacienda Angelita Nature Farm Training and Assessment Center, Inc., Brgy. Capihan, San Rafael, Bulacan from April 14 to 16, 2025.

A total of thirty (30) farmer-leaders from the province of Tarlac and Bulacan participated in the training, which aimed to strengthen their knowledge and skills in producing safe, high-quality rice while ensuring environmental sustainability and promoting the welfare of farm workers.

Furthermore, Ms. Reinalyn C. Gulen, OIC-Assistant Center Director/Senior Agriculturist of ATI Central Luzon, discussed the Principles and Concepts of GAP and Philippine National Standard: GAP for Rice and Mr. Roel R. Rubion, Agriculturist II of DA-RFO 3, presented the PhilGAP Certification Process & Inspection Procedure.

Moreover, the participants were engaged in an interactive lecture, group discussions, and hands-on mock inspection activity, giving them real-life insight into how GAP is applied and evaluated on the farm.

The participants are equipped to apply GAP on their own farms and become agents of change in their respective organizations and communities.
