The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III) and Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) of Bataan, implemented the 3-day activity on Training on Meat Processing with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) held at ATI-RTC III, Brgy. San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan on April 17-19, 2024.
Twenty-five (25) members of cooperative and associations from various municipalities/cities in Bataan completed the said activity which aims to enhance the knowledge and skills on meat processing with good manufacturing practices.
Ms. Trinidad Tallorin, Agricultural Center Chief of PVO Bataan, discussed the following modules such as Meat Quality, Meat Preservation and Processing, Good Manufacturing Practices and Marketing.
One of the participants, Ms. Hilaria M. Del Rosario, Manager of Nagsingkong Kawayang Kiling Batitao Farmers Association, said, โMaraming salamat po at isa kami sa napili na umattend sa pagsasanay na ito. Sabi ko po sa mga ka members ko gagawin naming negosyante ang lahat ng magsasaka at unti unti na pong pumupunta sa katutaparan. Salamat po sa pagbabahagi ng inyong kaalaman. Additionally, a hands-on activity on making tocino, longganisa, burger patty, siomai, and beef tapa were done during the second day.
Furthermore, on the last day of training, the participants prepared the re-entry plan by cooperative and association as an output of the activity.
The participants received starter kits comprised of meat grinder, iron sealer, stainless basin, and digital weighing scale.
