𝗔𝗧𝗜-𝗖𝗟, 𝗗𝗔-𝗥𝗙𝗢 𝗜𝗜𝗜, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗥𝗔 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗨𝗥𝗕𝗔𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗦𝗕 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠

The Agricultural Training Institute- Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III) and the Provincial Local Government Unit of Aurora, organized a Seminar on Urban Food Production in support to the Gulayan sa Barangay (GSB) Program of DA RFO III on May 28, 2024

Held at the Aurora Provincial Agricultural Development Training Center (APADTC) in Brgy. Calabuanan, Baler, Aurora, the said activity aimed to provide participants, including barangay officials and household members from the municipalities of Baler, Dipaculao, San Luis, and Dilasag, Aurora, with the necessary knowledge and skills for urban food production applicable within their households.

The seminar covered various topics such as Urban Agriculture/Micro-Scale Food Production, Raising Healthy Seedlings, Cultural Management Practices, Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management, Pest Management (Physical and Biological Control), Seed Production of OPV Vegetables, and Basic Record Keeping.

Additionally, as part of the training program, starter kits were distributed to household beneficiaries of the Samahan ng Makakalikasang Magsasaka ng Baler in Brgy. Reserva, Baler, Aurora, to aid in the establishment of a communal garden.
