The Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) implementers composed of the Agricultural Training Institute, Philippine Rice Research Institute, and Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization conducted the RCEF Strategic Communication Outcome Evaluation on August 29-31, 2023 in The Redd Manor Condotel, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Two farmers’ cooperatives namely Sta. Monica Farmers’ Marketing Cooperative and Sta. Ana Agricultural Multipurpose Cooperative were the subject of the focus group discussion in the said activity.
The RCEF implementers assessed the intervention of RCEF communication materials to the farmers and how the information helped them in their farms. To assess the farmers, the activity consists of the following: understanding the framing context; identifying farmers’ information-seeking behavior, communication needs, mass media, preferred sources of information, and consumption; and communication strategies.
This activity aims to monitor and assess the progress and developments of the RCEF in achieving the objectives of the RCEF Strategic Communication Projects.
