The Agricultural Training Institute - Central Luzon (ATI-CL) spearheaded the Transcending the Benefits of Consolidation: A Training on Agro-Enterprise Clustering Approach in the 1st quarter this year. Held from March 11-13, 2024, at Merryland Integrated Farm and Training Center Inc., Tala, Pulilan, Bulacan, this training session brought together 30 LSA Cooperators and members of Association of Learning Site for Agriculture in Region 3.

The training aimed to introduce and delve into the concept of agro-enterprise clusteringβ€”an approach that emphasizes the consolidation of resources, knowledge, and efforts among agricultural stakeholders. Through this approach, the LSA Cooperators can leverage collective strengths to overcome individual limitations, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and sustainability in the market.

The participants were exposed to various best practices, and success stories of agro-enterprise clustering. They engaged in discussions, brainstorming sessions, and practical exercises aimed at applying the principles of clustering to their own contexts. The resource persons of the training are Mr. Wilfredo Alfonso from LGU San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, Mr. Darwin Bonagua of Bonagua Integrated Farm Inc.; Ms. Reinalyn C. Gulen and Ms. Mariel B. Baldoz of ATI-CL.

As the LSA Cooperators and other participants returned to their communities, they carry with them the seeds of transformation planted during the training.
