The implementation of Training on Smart Agriculture Technologies (SATs) – Digital Technologies (Phase 1: DFP 101 and 102) has levelled up the digital skills of farmer-youth tandems in Guimba, Nueva Ecija in June this year.

The training aimed to equip participants with the latest agriculture-related ICT tools that they must extend to their fellow farmers.

The use of social media as an efficient tool in marketing agricultural products can help in providing support and knowledge for the participants to become agripreneurs. After the training, the participants were able to explain the components of the DFP and discuss the different agri applications. In addition, they were also able to present their social media marketing plan as well as discuss digital transactions.

Ms. Aldrina Mae I. Dource, a participant, shared that the implementation of the training is very timely.

“Maganda po ang training na ito, tulad ng sabi ng ibang tao, nahuhuli na talaga ang Pilipinas as digital technologies pagdating sa agriculture. Maganda yung may ganitong training at sana ay masundan para mas marami ang matuto. Maganda rin ito sa youth para mas lumawak ang aming kaalaman sa pagsasaka,” she explained.

A total of 10 farmer-youth tandems attended the training on June 12-14, 2023 in Myriad Farms, Guimba, Nueva Ecija.

The training will be the pre-requisite for the Training on Smart Agriculture Technologies (SATs) – Digital Technologies (Phase 2: DFP 103 for Rice).
