ATI-CL delivers FRC starter kits for BPP in Bataan

The Department of Agriculture, through Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), together with the Office of Senator Grace Poe (OSGP) and Local Government Units of Bataan (LGUs), successfully delivered the Dekalb Brown Free-Range Chicken- starter kits to the 455 beneficiaries of the BINHI ng Pag-asa Program (BPP) in the 11 Municipalities (Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Pilar, Orion, Limay, Mariveles, Bagac and Morong and 1 City (Balanga) in Bataan. The beneficiaries from the 12 municipalities received a total of 3,700 female Chickens, 910 male chickens, and 455 bags of 50kg of Grower Feeds on December 14, 15, 19 and 21, 2022.

The delivery and distribution of the starter kits is part of the objective of BPP to empower the young farmers of Bataan to become competent agripreneurs. The beneficiaries underwent a three-day training on free-range chicken production, leadership in agriculture, and values formation.

In the Province of Bataan, a total of 455 young farmers attended the training. One batch of provincial training composed of 30 participants from different municipalities, and seventeen batches of municipal training composed of 25 participants each, were successfully conducted last September 14 to November 5, 2022.
