Sinagtala Matamo Agriculture Cooperative was awarded with the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund Learning Site for Agriculture (RCEF-LSA) Certificate by the Agricultural Training Institute – Central Luzon on November 8, 2023. The ceremony, which took place in Brgy. Sta. Lucia (Matamo), Arayat, Pampanga, marked a significant milestone for the cooperative and its dedicated members.
The event was attended by key figures, including Engr. Jerry J. Buan, the head of the Sinagtala Matamo Agriculture Cooperative, who expressed gratitude for the recognition. The Brgy. Councilors of Brgy. Sta. Lucia (Matamo): Mr Arthur P. Miranda and Godofredo M. Tungol, the Municipal Agriculturist of Arayat, Engr. Rodel A. Lising, and Mabel Esguerra from the office of Senator Villar were among the valued guests present.
The program commenced with an opening ceremony, featuring a heartfelt prayer to set the tone for the auspicious occasion. The Barangay Captain welcomed everyone, followed by greetings and messages from the guests, who highlighted the importance of initiatives like the RCEF-LSA in promoting agricultural development.

The highlight of the event was the grand awarding ceremony, where guests, together with the awardee, presented the RCEF-LSA Certificate to the Sinagtala Matamo Agriculture Cooperative. Engr. Jerry J. Buan, on behalf of the cooperative, delivered a heartfelt message expressing gratitude and commitment to furthering agricultural excellence.
Engr. Joey A. Belarmino, the Center Director of ATI-Central Luzon, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing the agriculture specifically the rice production sector. The event concluded with a group photo session featuring the awardees, guests, and organizers, capturing the essence of the cooperative's achievement.
To ensure transparency and responsible use of the financial grant, an orientation on the liquidation process was conducted by Jan Limuel C. Guevarra, Admin. Staff from ATI Central Luzon.
