The Agricultural Training Institute – Central Luzon conducted the Training on Process Documentation on Rice-Based Technologies for FITS Staff (Batch 1) at St. Isidore ‘the FARMer’ Learning Center, Sta. Ana, Pampanga last April 15-19, 2024.
The training focused on the following topics: Effective Documentation discussed by Dr. Jesselyn C. Mortejo from Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU); Record Keeping discussed by Mr. Brian John Q. Rodriguez from BPS; Video Production, and Process Documentation of Rice-Based Technologies Using Video Material discussed by Mr. Darwin G. Dela Cruz from Central Luzon State University (CLSU).
This training aimed to teach the agricultural extension workers to properly document all the programs, projects, and activities of their respective Municipal/Provincial Agriculture offices. This training also aimed to produce success stories of technologies and stories of the rice farmers in every municipality.
“Napakasaya po sa five-day na training na ito. Habang natututo po tayo ay nag-e-enjoy po tayo. Natutunan po natin ang documentation at video editing. Malaki po ang kahalagahan nito sa ating LGU para i-promote ang ating mga farmer. Napaka-timely and relevant po nito sa ating lahat,” Ms. Desirie C. Romero shared during the training activity.
As part of the training, special awards have been given to some of the participants. The Best Script award was given to Mr. Arnold L. Dela Cruz, Best Success Story Video was awarded to Mr. Jonel A. Viz, Best Reel was given to Ms. Patricia P. Del Pozo, and Best Photographer was given to Ms. Verzalyn P. Mamaclay, Ms. Patricia P. Del Pozo, Mr. Jonel A. Viz, Ms. Jennisee L. Lapitan, and Ms. Lean B. Paray.
A total of 25 participants from different Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Centers in Aurora and Nueva Ecija have completed the training.
