The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in the collaboration with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) conducted a five-day training session on Coconut Hybridization and Nursery Management II held in Dinalungan, Aurora on June 3-7, 2024.

The activity aimed to enhance the skills of local coconut farmers in optimizing hybridization techniques and efficient nursery management.

The participants were immersed in both theoretical teachings and hands-on practical applications, equipping them with comprehensive insights from experts in the field.

Throughout the training sessions, the participants actively engaged in discussions on complex topics, and applied new knowledge during fieldwork exercises.

Furthermore, the training not only provided an understanding of hybridization techniques but also emphasized the importance of meticulous nursery management to ensure the propagation of high-quality coconut seedlings.

Additionally, the participants were equipped with practical skills that will benefit them in tending their respective farms. They expressed gratitude to ATI-CL and PCA for organizing this training and learned a lot from that experience.

Moreover, the Training on Coconut Hybridization and Nursery Management II enlightened the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing agricultural practices. As these farmers return to their communities, they bring with them not only enhanced skills but also a renewed commitment to innovation and sustainability in coconut farming.

A total of 21 coconut farmers from Bataan and Aurora provinces participated in the said training activity.
