The Agricultural Training Institute - Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Division VI, conducted a Training on Financial Literacy for Rice Farmers held at NIA Division VI, Brgy. Cavite, Guimba, Nueva Ecija on June 17-21, 2024.

The training participants consisted of 25 farmer-leaders from different Irrigators Associations/Cooperatives from the municipalities of Guimba, Talugtug, Nampicuan, and Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija,. The said activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of farmers in financial management and enterprise planning.

β€œMarami po kaming natutunan dahil sa mga naging resource speaker, madaling maunawaan sa practical at verbal na pagpapaliwanag. Malaking tulong po ang training na ito para sa aming mga rice farmer clusters,” said Ms. Erlinda M. Calica, participant from Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija says.

Furthermore, the training focused on the following topics: Filipino Values, Financial Literacy and its Significance, Business Cycle and Character of Successful Agri-Enterprise, Financial Recording, Bookkeeping and Auditing, and Agri-Credit Program Orientation.

Moreover, the participants completed and presented their group's Simple Enterprise Plan as an output of the said activity.
