The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with the Office of Senator Grace Poe (OSGP) and the Municipal Agriculturist Office in Anao, Tarlac, launched the Municipal Training on Goat production for Binhi ng Pag-asa Program beneficiaries of Tarlac - Batch 1 held at Farmer's Training Center, Tarlac Agricultural University, Camiling, Tarlac from July 2-4, 2024.

Ms. Guia D. Reyes, BPP Coordinator, welcomed the participants during the opening program. Mr. Alvin Butay, Municipal Agriculturist of Anao, Tarlac, delivered words of encouragement, urging participants to make the most of the training. Ms. Charlene Gonzales, PEO I/Project Officer, provided an overview of the activities.

Mr.ย  Jashmine P. Jusi and Mr. Ron Christian M. Silva, graduates of the National Training of Trainers (NTOT), led the discussions on modules covering National Situation; Leadership and Values Formation; Agricultural Advocacies; Agripreneurship and Social Media in Farming.

Additionally, Dr. Allan Jeffrey E. Francia, Manager of Animal Breeding and Artificial Insemination Center, and Dr. Annalie B. Paragas, Associate Professor I of College of Veterinary Medicine, conducted a comprehensive discussion on Goat Production

In the completion of the training process, the participants engaged in hands-on activities including UMMB Making, Silage Preparation, Age Identification through Dentition, Administration of Vitamins and Antibiotics, and Ear tagging at TAU AI Laboratory and Goat Production Area, guided by Dr. Allan Jeffrey Francia and Dr. Annalie B. Paragas.

โ€œSa leadership, we should respect each otherโ€™s opinions and be a role model. About sa agriculture, marami tayong dapat gawin from the start to end, pero alam natin na kikita tayo sa mga alagang hayop, pero hindi lang sa pag-aalaga ng poultry and livestock/ruminant ang sakop ng agriculture kabilang din ang crops/leguminous crops at pwede nating gawing Integrated farm. โ€œGoat is goldโ€ sapagkat habang tumatagal dumadami ang napo-produce and at the same time tumataas ang value,โ€ said Ms. Zcareen D. Peralta, one of the participants.

Dr. Agnes Perey, TAU Director for Research Extension and Training, delivered the closing message, encouraging participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge.

Moreover, the ignited hope will continue to spread across Tarlac's municipalities until October this year. To serve as the final output, the participants prepared and submitted their re-entry plan.
