The Agricultural Training Institute- Central Luzon (ATI-CL) officially inaugurated the La Farm Agricultural Training Center as certified Learning Site for Agriculture at Amungan Iba, Zambales on July 15, 2024.
Ms. Faith Marie B. Rico, farm owner of the La Farm Agricultural Training Center, expressed her gratitude during the ceremony, celebrating the successful launch of the center as a fully recognized as Learning Site for Agriculture.
"Nagsimula po ang konsepto ng La Farm noong pandemya. Hindi lamang sa kagustuhan naming magtanim, nakita rin po namin ang pangangailangan ng aming mga kababayan. Bilang pagtulong, kami ay nagpatuloy sa pagbuo ng La Farm,” she said.
Hon. Joan D. Ballesteros, Municipal Vice Mayor of Iba, Zambales, and Mr. Joey Alvior, Municipal Agriculturist, delivered a message of support to the owner.
"Sa simpleng kagustuhang matutong magtanim at magbahagi ng kaalaman sa mga kabataan ay naitayo po itong programa ito," Hon. Vice Mayor Ballesteros said. He also added, "Napakalaking tulong po ng learning site na ito hindi lamang po sa bayan ng Iba, Zambales bagkus ito rin po ay bukas para sa lahat. Kaya po ang mga programa na mula sa iba't ibang ahensya ng agrikultura ay tiyak makaka-abot sa ating mga magsasaka sa tulong ng ganitong learning site."
Moreover, Mr. Jayson Nidua, Livestock Focal Person from ATI RTC III, emphasized the importance of training and learning sites for agriculture.
The awarding ceremony of the Learning Site for Agriculture certificate was attended by representatives from ATI-Central Luzon and other officials from Iba, Zambales.
