The Agricultural Training Institute-Central Luzon (ATI-CL), in partnership with the Office of Senator Grace Poe (OSGP) and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in Tarlac, conducted the 7th Batch of Municipal Training on Goat production for Binhi ng Pag-asa Program held at Farmer's Training Center, Tarlac Agricultural University, Camiling, Tarlac from August 13-15, 2024.

A total of twenty (20) young beneficiaries from Mayantoc, Tarlac participated on the said training, which aimed to strengthen, enhance the leadership and values of youth beneficiaries while managing their agri-fisheries activities.

During the opening program, Ms. Elsa F. Victoria, ATI-CL Training Specialist III, welcomed the participants. Engr. Dennis C. Felipe, Municipal Agriculturist of Mayantoc, Tarlac and Engr. Joey A. Belarmno, ATI-CL Center Director showed their support to the attendees.

Ms. Charlene Gonzales, PEO I/Project Officer gave the overview of the activity.

Furthermore, Mr. Noah Gabriel A. Frio and Ms. Penelope Jade O. Carinan, National Training of Trainers graduates, discussed the following modules including National Situation, Leadership and Values Formation, Agricultural Advocacies, Agripreneurship and Social Media in Farming

Additionally, Dr. Ma Asuncion Beltran, former VP-RET of TAU, thoroughly discussed the Goat Production including Potentials of Goat Production, Production Management, Ranging, Feeds, and Feeding and Common Diseases of Goats

Dr. Annalie Paragas, Associate Professor I of College of Veterinary Medicine discussed the lesson in Add -on Enterprise on Goat Production and Mr. John Arris E. Rayo from College of Agriculture and Forestry, discussed the Economics on Goat Production.

Mr. Rodelio Jr. Valdez, one of the participants, said, “Tumatak po sakin yung acronym na HEART na ibinahagi ni Ma'am Beltran, which stands for hear, examine, analyze, remember and transform as learners, ito po yung mga kailangan nating gawin para po maging successful po tayo sa mga bagay na gusto nating subukan throughout our journey.”

Moreover, the participants experienced hands-on activities such as UMMB Making, Silage Preparation, Age Identification through Dentition and Ear tagging at TAU AI Laboratory. Dr. Allan Jeffrey Francia, Dr. Annalie B Paragas, and Dr. Lavina Gracia M. Ramirez, from the College of Veterinary Medicine guided the participants in their demonstration of the said hands-on activity.

To serve as the final output, the participants prepared and submitted their re-entry plan.
